Axe Valley Pedallers are a community based cycling club based in Seaton on the beautiful East Devon coast. We pride ourselves on catering for all levels of cyclist. If you ride a bike with a shopping basket on the front or the latest TT machine dripping with carbon you are welcome and most importantly you will never be left behind.
As Seaton is hosting the start of inaugural Great Tour, Axe Valley Pedallers has just been invited to line up with the riders on the start line on Saturday 3rd July on this historic cycling moment. You will need to be at the Town Hall in Seaton for 09:45 to be led down to the Seafront at 10:00 by a brass band from Lympstone
Then, at 10:30 am, our very own Axe Valley Pedaller, Mayor Bob ‘Ketchup’ Palacio will officially send us on our way, heading east along the estuary. Even if you just join us as far as Chapel Street, Axmouth that would be great. For those that want to join us all the way to our first stop in West Bay, there might just be a Great Tour T-Shirt for you as well as some nourishment! Do pass the word on about the invitation.
And just think, as soon as you have finished cycling with The Great Tour you can pedal back for more fun at the Festival of Cycling!
I do need to know some rough numbers and so if you think you’re going to join us, can you pop your name down here please or just let me know.
Happy Pedalling! Madal Specialized Roubaix Expert, Thorn Raven Sport Tour, Cove Stiffee, Penny Farthing and Giant Bowery Fixie.
Momentum building! I'm looking after Jess saturday morning but was wondering if we could both cycle up to Axmouth if I come to register? I will be happy marshalling in arvo as Jess and Steph off to help with Umborne steam - up! It's all go-go-go this weekend.....but then go-go-go 64 times over for you Madal....goodluck!
That will be fab to have you and Jess with us as far as Axmouth. We are really keen to have all ages and I'm naturally keen to see as many Axe Valley Pedallers as we can muster. Thanks Goose
Come Pedallers, turn up, line up and cycle up......as far as Axmouth or across to West Bay (for a t shirt)
