AVP & Exeter CTC Joint Bluebell Ride Print E-mail

 

I’m delighted to announce the first joint club ride with the Exeter section of the Cycle Touring Club (CTC) of Devon, on Sunday 10th May 2009.

In fact, this is our first official joint ride with another club and so here we are breaking new ground with AVP again as the club continues to expand.

Woodworm is organising a Wheel building evening with George at Soanes. We are working towards 7.00 pm Wednesday 25th Feb at Soanes Cycles, Colyton. George is offering not only a demonstration of wheel building but also tea and biscuits, so that’s not bad hey?

Velodrome Trip Print E-mail

The first big event of the year is nearly upon us.  The next trip to Calshot Velodrome will be on Sunday the 15th March.  We have the track for three hours from 13:30 until 16:30.  We will again be coached by Commonwealth Games cyclist, Harry Jackson.  If you haven't been on the track before then it's difficult to explain the amazing rush you feel from the g-force as you the enter the first banked corner.

It's Time for The French Foray Print E-mail

Bonjour les cyclists, It is time to think about this year’s French Foray, 24th -26th April.  After deliberations with Ketchup about a twinning visit to Thury-Harcourt, we decided that time and cost were against us and we will try and plan the event for next year.  In view of the exchange rate at the moment, I have decided that a longer stay in France might work out too expensive, so I am sticking to our usual agenda, BUT, we are going to a different place.
