Despite the Artic weather we had last week there was a good turn out for this month's Sunday ride. Thanks to No10 & Fishnet for leading the ride and Deegee for the write up. Read Deegee's report for the full story. Great to see you out on your bike again by the way.
This month’s AVP ride, lead by Fishnet and No. 10 (Jeremy and Athol Norcombe) was a Valentine’s Day celebratory ride. Fourteen intrepid cyclists braved the winter elements, cycling the more sheltered valleys and admiring the still snow-covered surrounding hillsides. In true romantic fashion, we wrapped up warmly and struggled through cold, wind and finally rain to reach our destination, the Axminster Inn, where a warm and friendly welcome awaited us. Homemade Valentine’s biscuits and heart-shaped chocolates (provided by No:10 and Bar Bunny) accompanied our delicious hot drinks, and after enjoying a sociable rest, we re-mounted our sturdy steeds and cycled back to Seaton. |
